The options I have seen include CDs denominated in yuan, and bank accts which can hold yuan. However, the ones I have heard of do not pay interest on the investment. Even if one believes that the yuan is going to appreciate during the coming years, isn’t the lack of interest returns a serious show-stopper for this high-growth, high-inflation economy?
