Half and half. Let´s keep it simple. Thanks Doug.
P.S. Fasten your seat-belts…. ; ))
A friend of mine just told me that trying to low fish or pick the bottom of the miners is at least “presumptuous”.
And I am afraid that he´s right.
Pinksheets. OOTC .

Thanks for your replies.
I get two valuable advices for my pocket money gold:
# 1 Avoid serial numbers
#2 Try to get different denomination (sized) coins.
Hi Gerald, Jim,
the Chaoda story is a sad story full of unknowns.
What we do know is that when we bought Chaoda shares we had a long term view and our aim was to have a legacy investment.
For those of us who bought in HK there is not much we can do. Shares are suspended so we are “forced” veeery long term investors. We should be patient, put shares in a drawer with lock and throw the key down the dwell.
That’s fine with me. But I have a problem with Chaoda, the real problem I have is that I can buy 2 Chaodas for one nickel in the pinksheets market. Oh boy! It is like buying way OTM calls, chances are slim but we may hit the jackpot!
Martingale?, double or nothing?, you name it. I´ll give you no further details… you may end up thinking I am a compulsive gambler.
I agree with Peter, nowadays it is impossible to find a honest investment advisor that has enough experience. My personal view is:
– If he is honest he has not enough experience, not enough to be paid for.
– If he has enough experience, most likely he won´t be honest.
If the job ad is “Small family office is looking for an investment pro to take the helm of the family assets….” don´t expect a honest guy to knock at your door.
TEF would then skyrocket ! It would trade above 3,000 ! (Pesetas not Pesos).
don´t go for Telefonica, not for the long run. You may get a short time spectacular rebound, but it is not a stock you want to marry to. I don´t know much about fundamentals but I am Spanish and I have followed the Ibex35 for a while.
P.S. Iberdrola is a Spanish utility much more interesting for the long run…. well… I just had a hunch.
sorry but I don´t get your point. I was asking about a price entry level for gold quoted in Euros: 12 hundred, 1 thousand, 800… God Knows ! But…”to begin the process” ?¿? I simply don´t understand. Do you mean I am late to the party?
thanks very much for the info. Market cap is above 1 BLN EUR. Price quoted is near the spot price so it will be easy to monitor. I also like the idea of safety if it is run by a conservative bank. I checked my online broker and I have access to the ETF. Al lI need to know now is a good entry point…..
Thanks for your help and regards,
